VW ID.4 GPS Tour
German Guinness World Record driver Rainer Zietlow and his co-driver and photographer Marius Biela set off from Sydney on 14 th August 2024 in a Volkswagen ID.4 EV for a new kind of World Record drive. Using a GPS tracker as a paintbrush, the team tries to create an extraordinary painting on the Australian continent for the largest GPS-drawing made by an electric car. Rainer and Marius will draw the 70th anniversary logo of Volkswagen Australia. Called “Vee Dub” by the locals, Volkswagen Australia is celebrating its anniversary with a logo featuring the contours of the continent, the words “70 YEARS OF VEE DUB” and a heart on the island of Tasmania in the south. Meticulous preparatory work was carried out to get the logo by skillfully selecting the roads and paths.
